The Coral Breeze Animal Hospital team displays an unrivaled commitment to our clients through continuing education, technological advances in veterinary medicine and service, and most importantly, administering compassionate care to all pets entrusted to us.
Dr. Chris Carmona
Dr. Carmona was born and raised in South Florida. He completed a bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences with a minor in Zoology at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He also received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at UF. His veterinary interests include dermatology, nutrition, and soft-tissue surgery. His personal interests include traveling, exercising, and photography.
Dr. Maite Cintrón
Dr. Cintrón was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. She completed a bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences and in Integrated Biology at the University of Florida in Gainesville. She also received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at UF. Her veterinary interests include dermatology, dentistry, and internal medicine. Her personal interests include salsa dancing, reading, and CHOCOLATE.
Dr. Carmona and Dr. Cintron met in veterinary school and got married right after graduation. They are the parents of two dogs, Sebastian and Chispa, a cat, Calypso and a beautiful daughter, Gianna.
During their years at UF, they volunteered with feral cat trap-neuter-release programs, fostered pets for adoption, and participated in several community service campaigns to help the pets of families in Ecuador, Mexico and Honduras. Currently, they are members in good standing with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA).
Dr. Carmona and Dr. Cintrón consult and work in conjunction with various specialists in the area to provide the best care possible for every pet’s needs. They also strive to be better doctors by continuing their education through various conferences and seminars.
Dr. Javiera Correa
Dr. Correa was born and raised in Bradenton, Fl. She pursued her undergraduate degree at Eckerd college in St. Petersburg, Fl. In 2006, she completed a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. She attended veterinary school at an american credited college in New Zealand, Massey University. After graduating in 2010, Dr. Correa resided for 6 months in Christchurch.
She and her fiancé, a native New Zealander, also known as a kiwi, survived the devastating earthquakes that hit Christchurch in 2010 – 2011. Due to the earthquakes they were forced to move to Richmond, VA where Dr. Correa completed a small animal emergency medicine and small animal rotating internship at the Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center. This hospital won the AHAA referral hospital of the year award that year. Shortly after, they moved to Boynton beach where she continued working in emergency medicine at Veterinary Specialists of South Florida in Cooper City. Dr. Correa has two children (girl and boy) who are the lights of her life. She also have 5 fur babies, all rescues, 3 dogs and 2 cats!
